OK sounds great, thanks again :) :coolshade

So in general I guess the yagi antenna is best if I know which tower I wanna select,
otherwise the omni antenna may work just as good, or the yagi may pull in an even stronger signal?

Yagi is best option if you want to single out one tower , know exact location of said tower and have line of sight to said tower . Otherwise omni-directional is best option

Just thought some would like to read the latest from some of the professional Storm Chasers using the new Maximum Signal Wireless amplifiers

    http://www.stormtrac...plifiers-By-SCT

Could not be happier that the product is also serving the common good . Oklahoma Emergency Management borrowed one of the storm chasers units for their Command Center in one of the towns that was devastated by the Tornadoes this week and I am told there was up to 16 field staff using the system at a time on both cell phones and data devices when they could not get a signal at all till the Storm Chaser volunteered his system.

The unit so far was partially installed at our house and I'm amazed at how well it works.
I couldn't fully install it yet as my parents are in the process of moving from this house to a different one they bought.
We haven't decided yet, but I may rent this house from them, or I may decide to move in with them and they could sell this house altogether.
Their new house also has some signal issues and it's in downtown Gaffney SC about 2.5 miles from the nearest Alltel ATNI tower.
When we all decide what we're doing the unit will be fully installed, I happily look forward to that.

Even with it partially installed the unit has done wonders and improved signal strength at least 10db
even on the weakest signals. I've been pretty busy with this move situation lately but hope to get pix up as soon as I can.

Last month when Verizon got the BlackBerry Bold 9930 i got one line with them to get the 9930. In my house i have two to three bars but at times it will drop down to one bar and then it is hard to make calls it will drop or you will not be able to understand what any one is saying. The Verizon system here is 1900 so that said a lot of what the trouble is. You can go a mile on either side of me and have good signal strength. I talked to a few people that had Verizon and they said Verizon had good service here after buying Altell but it hasn't help at my house. :(

I finally got the amplifier fully installed at my house. Sorry it took so long.

The average signal (db) reading in my house is now at -78 db, which used to be about -90 db before.
I notice a longer battery life and the phone doesn't get as hot during use.

Anyway the signals are amplified an average of 10-12 db throughout most of my house (-78 db).
In the room with the indoor antenna it's a full 20 db (-68 to -70 db).
Closer to the indoor antenna I got a reading of (-35 db) which is very strong. :D

The tower I'm pointing the yagi towards is over 5 miles away! :)

I would definitely recommend to anyone in need of a better signal.

Thank you so much Maximum Signal. :)
