From the above list, no question its the treo 755p.
However, I would vote for the q9 series smartphone from motorola.

I think that you should buy the BlackBerry Pearl. But, I'm biased.

I have a brand new T-Mobile White Black Berry Pearl that has been gathering dust in my closet since February. It's unlocked. So, it can be used with any provider. The box was originally opened by the T-Mobile representative to activate the SIM. I had to unseal the power adaptor to charge the battery and remove the screen sticker in order to unlock and test it with a Cingular SIM 3 months later. Other than that, it has not been touched.

I have a car charger and a case for it as well.

I do not plan to use it, and I've been lazy to put it on ebay, At the same time, I do not want it in my closet. Let me know if you are interested.

I like it. That's why I have bought it, but I have not had a chance to use it since I've been using a different phone that does not want to die. I like the white Pearl. It has the pearl colour and it looks likea *cough* iPod *cough*. It looks like it was done by Apple.

I order wireless devices for my company. We are a global entertainment company. I've heard every complaint and/or praise out there when it comes to wireless hardware usability.

Believe me, if it's a smartphone, dumbphone, aircard or Blackberry device, we've ordered it. I get feedback regulary from power users who happen to be picky hot shot executives.

Although Verizon Wireless is often referred to by my staff as the "best local network," surprisingly none of their devices come up on our users favorites list.

After all the excitement and hoopla wears off from any new smartphone, they always go back to what's tried and true. They return to their old reliable Blackberry.

The cool thing is nowadays, the newer Blackberries actually look sleek and operate well as phones. Whether you rely on instant email, need to surf the web, edit Microsoft documents, join a conference call, send a picture message, or even just make a regular old phone call, the new 8300 series can't be beat.

If you appreciate a full qwerty device, I recommend the BB Curve in any of its varients as long as you live in an area where the local GSM provider works well. The cool thing about T-Mobile's version is that its Wi-Fi enabled. You can make and receive calls and use mobile data services from any open or secure access point. This is great if your mobile signal is weak.

Good luck on finding the right device for you.

LOL, Charlyee would be proud to know that I recommended a BlackJack to a customer yesterday. I stopped by my local store to say hi, and the manager was there with an undecisive customer. Leslie (the manager) said "Jay knows all about phones, let's ask him what you should get." After asking the customer a few questions I recommended the BlackJack, based on Charlyee's experience.

How about hooking him up with a real classic? A Moto Startac would be interesting.

Seriously, or maybe I was serious, let me think about it.... the carrier for his area is more important than the phone. I would be happy with most of those on the list.

Unfortunately you can't activate a StarTac if it isn't already activated. They are not E-911 compatible. Anyway, the part of the contest where you get to nominate phones is closed.

I have never had a Blackberry, but the new pearl is really leaning me towards wanting one- since it is smaller.

HTC Tilt seems like a fairly useful device. Not as cumbersome as those Palms or Blackberries, a bit less gimmicky than a '2-way slider'.

Yeah, those Motos have been VERY popular, but I went through 3 of the original V3 models in under 2 years and my son had problems after a suggested firmware upgrade on his V3i, and my GF still has problems with her V3x... I simply can't recommend Moto products.

    HTH!!

Thanks for all the recent votes!

I just want to clarify and restate one of the rules in case anybody missed it.

YOU CAN NOT WIN THIS CONTEST IF YOU HAVE LESS THAN 10 ON-TOPIC POSTS

    :attn:

Your vote will count, but you will not be in the random drawing for the prizes.

Also for everybody, changing your vote anytime before the midnight PST Friday 11/30 deadline is OK.

I haven't visited the forum in awhile, and I must say that things have DEFINITELY improved. (not that they weren't GREAT before), but anyways, out of the choices in the poll I would have to say that the Motorola RAZR2 would be the best choice. I love how it has the very large outside screen, and although motorola isn't my favorite brand, they really exceeded my expectations with this phone...
