HI to all - wanted to share my experience with Consumer Cellular located in Oregon. Recently moved my 93 year old mom in with me and since contract expired on cell phone decided to go with a company who specialized in providing Senior Citizens phones/service. While their customer service agents were very nice they actually made 3 errors on one account - MINE. First they failed to provide me with the correct SIM card to transfer my phone number. I did activate my mom's phone based on their suggestion. When I didn't receive the SIM card I called and found out that MY phone number was attached to some man'sname/address in their computer, different city/state. I was advised they would send me a new Sim card. While waiting for the 2nd SIM card I received an email from indicating they would transfer my phone number and activate within 2 days. I immediately called and verified this would not happen. Within 2 hours I lost service on the old carrier because they transferred my phone number anyway. They never provided me with a working phone. Ultimately I went with Verizon and had to change my phone number! Be cautious when working with a cellular phone company via internet - now they are charging me for the activation and 45 minutes use on the Senior Phone.
