Hello: I had to switch providers and now have a Motorola V325 phone that I want to resell but cannot figure out how to get my phone number removed from the phone. I went to my old provider and asked and the clerk looked at me like I had grown an extra ear or something. She said that, that is part of the programming and when the next person gets the phone the new number will be programmed into the phone. I walked out of the store and sure enough I was growing an extra ear :browani: Any help would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks
74663# OK OK should get you into NAM programming mode, this is the code that works on most CDMA Motorola handsets. After that just scroll to the MDN, MIN and SID and enter ten zeros, ten zeros and five zeros. Then you will also want to do a reset factory settings and master clear from the initial setup menu. You may have to enter the phones security code to complete the clears, usually this is 12345 or 00000, something like that.
Call your service provider and ask for assistance. This is what I've done every time I get rid of a CDMA phone. I've had a lot of phones over the years with Verizon/AirTouch. I don't want my phone number visible anywhere on the phone. I've called VZ technical support and they've always helped me get into the NAM programming and clear my number from the phone.
