I thought they were going to do this on the 18th, guess they wanted to get this red BB out before then.
But I already have an AT&T branded phone... EDIT: Geez that zoom gets in really close! Maybe I should have dusted off the phone and desk before I took the pic.
The dust makes it look official. The other day I was doing some cleaning & found 2 Ericsson R300LX TDMA cell phones that are still in decent condition. They just say AT&T on them with the globe.
ugh.........my mom used to use that phone.......we still have it around as a toy.......haha......needless to say its been trown around many times
Yes, they were operating a small UMTS network. I think it was in only 5 cities. Cingular was upset at them for launching 3G because Cingular was buying them out, and Cingular wasn't ready to launch 3G yet. -Jay
Interesting, I didn't know Cingular was upset. Just to add the service was launched with two phones available the other being Nokia 6651. Of course, considering the 6651 didn't have 850MHz even on the GSM it failed to make any dent in the market
hmmm........didnt know that.........you would think that Cingular wouldnt be mad but wuld just put up with the network.........leave it running or shut it down until they were ready for it
I think as soon as they could they stopped selling new 3G plans, then concentrated on their own 3G deployment. I don't remember exactly how they handled it now. -Jay
