I need to add that if this was to happen, then Avaya would bring more into the AT&T fold than just the US operations. Avaya bought a large German telecommunications provider by the name of Tenovis late last year. Tenovis was originally a division of BOSCH which is a large German electronics/automotive supply company. Tenovis started out as BOSCH Telecom and was spun off in 2000. After that happened, BOSCH left the telecommunications sector to concentrate on their automotive products.

^^JESUS, AVAYA IS THE WORST COMPANY EVER! They totally F-ed our work phones when they "upgraded" the system with new phones. Between their incompetence and Verizon's, our phone system connected to the outside and inside the company didn't work for most of the summer. It was fun talking to someone who couldn't get through for hours. Thank god I'd maybe answer one call a day, gotta love being in the field! Course one phone call was an irritated Senator Carper, but it was cool to talk to him anyway and I'll be working on his re-election next year :) They're still having problems according to my friend I emailed last week.
