I recently bought a phone with cingular nationwide plan. I go to college in Worcester and in my dorm i get full service with cingular on my phone. I could walk outside and either get cinguar or see "cingular extended" on my phone. Randomly. Will mobile to mobile minutes work when extended is shown? Why would it be roaming when there is service. If extended is showing how long does it take for the minutes to be shown on your account. Thanks for the help!
I believe that if you're on the Nationwide Plan you can use your phone and you won't get charged roaming. Cingular Extended I believe is when you're using one of Cingular's roaming partner because it has a stronger signal. I believe M2M minutes count even if you're roaming. The minutes show up like if you were using it on Cingular. No difference. Hope i've helped.
Correct! But minutes may not show up right away when roaming. The time it takes will vary widely on who you are roaming on & where you are located.
When I was roaming on Western Wireless (Cellular One), they showed up immediately. LOL, I guess you're right, it depends on the company you roam with. I just noticed that WW has a lot of coverage in rural areas.
Normally, when roaming anywhere in the US, minutes are not delayed. Only International Roaming gets delayed and that is SOMETIMES.
