What should I do. I currently have 400 Anytime Minutes and Unlimted Night and Weekends. I want to get the 7 for 7 thing but I am being forced to chnage my plan to one of the new ones that give 5000 Night and Weekend Minutes, but I would be able to roll over the Anytime Minutes I don't use. I use about 5200+ Off Peak Minutes a month and thats just using it after 9PM, if they started at 7PM I would use even more. What should I do?

Well I justgot off the phone and I could get the Super Home plan which would give me 600 Anytime and 5000 N&W for the same price, that comes with Roll Over of Anytime Minutes and the 7 on 7. I currently pay the same price for 400 Daytime without Roll Over and Unlimited Night and Weekends. They will also give me an early upgrade because I told them that I wanted to switch to Sprint and they threw the free early upgrade at me, I wasnt eligible for an upgrade until July and I was going to go pay the 300 dollars for the T720. Does the GSM provide better coverage in CT than the TDMA did? Cause I have poor service at my house and wind up using 5000 mins cause when I use the phone at night I 3-Way call the house line so I use double minutes. What does Super Home give besides what I mentioned?

We were told by many Cingular people, service reps in the stores and on the phone as well as salespeople on the phone, if you can't get a decent TDMA signal then you won't get a GSM signal. We've been screwing around with Cingular since November trying to get a decent phone for our 2 dead Nokia 5165's. We just recently went out and tried Verizon. I picked up an Audiovox CDM9500 and picked up the LG VX400 for my husband. First phones that have ever picked up a cell phone signal in our house on any carrier (including older verizon phones)since we've lived here. We are keeping the service. Call quality is soooo much better than our Cingular call quality. I like the looks and feel of his phone over mine, but my phone picks up and maintains a call with the slightest signal. We are in Fairfield County. Only downfall is the lack of service in Litchfield County. I've been a loyal Cingular customer for over 7 years, but the lack of service we've received over the past few months both on the phone and through our local store (which is a joke), the frustration with our phones not working, calls breaking up everywhere, phones dying and no replacements for them, waiting for weeks to receive replacements and then no signals, we gave up on them. We gave them a fair shot, but they just screwed around with us for too many months. You can try GSM, but if you don't have decent TDMA service, from what I've been told by Cingular, you won't have decent GSM service either.

GSM will give you better battery life than TDMA which will help you use even more minutes. Over 5000+ minutes a month? Wow! I hope you are using a headset. If you already have unlimited N&W why do you want to switch plans? If you switch to get 7 fo 7 then you'll end up with 5000 minutes only for N&W and since it will start at 7PM you will go over your minutes. I would stay with the unlimited N&W.

LOL The reason I have 5000+ Nightime minutes is because the cell phone get hot and the service in my house is spotty so I put the phone on charge in an area with good service and I 3-way call my house line and I spend all my time on that phone. This is one of the reasons I have 5000+ minutes, it should be less about 1/2.

Hey AJB2323, I do the same with 3-way to home line to save toll charges. It also saves my head from all the radiation [IMG] However, I get nowhere near 5000 minutes! Soon carriers will find a way to charge us for that benefit.

Call customer service. Many times they have packages they never advertise. You may be able to find something to fit your needs.

I call customer service and they arent a help. They tell me all they have is 5000 N&W minutes. When I tell them I use LOTS more than that they tell me that its impossible.

Keep calling, faxing, emailing, and pushing. you are AJB2323 of borg, resistance is futile, cingular WILL give you what you want or you will drop them like a bad habit. Make sure they know this. Ask for a CS manager on the phone.

If a vendor does not offer the product that you want, what do you do? You go to another vendor, right? You are not trying to cheat them, you are simply wanting to make more business with them. If they won't give you what you want, they are not very smart. Consider T-Mobile. They offer more minutes for the buck and can throw in unlimited nights and weekends. Just make sure they have a signal by your house.

the only way to get unlimited night and weekend minutes now is for an extra 9.99 a month then you get unlimited. but other than that you get 5000. there arent any current plans that have free unlimited

Just called Cingular. They told me there is nothing they can do. They dont offer Free Nights and Weekends as an add-on any more nor can I add an aditional 5000 minuted for 9.99. Anything else I can do? Cingular is the only thing that works around here.

Just keep your current plan AJB2323. That's the best thing you can do. All other carriers N&W are unlimited but they still begin at 9PM so there's really nothing you can do.

    njscngulrgsm,
so does that mean that if I pay $9.99 + $7.00 I can get Unlimited Nights and Weekends starting at 7:00PM? [IMG] Maybe AJB can't do that in the CT market.

I dunno, call and ask Bobolito! You said you use ATT's towers, so will they even let you renew your contract since you use ATT's TDMA and not TMO/Cingular's GSM? If I used that many off-peak minutes, I would want unlimited, Sprint, Verizon, etc. seem to offer it.

I was just curious, but I am not interested. I use about 2000 mins/month and even though my plan has 3500 N&W, I am still ok with it. They have already renewed my contract in the past when I went with the Nation plan so they have no problem with me using AT&T towers.

They told me the same thing when I wanted to go higher than the 3500 I had. For this reason (and many others), I jumped and went to Sprint.

It still takes away from the plan minutes though. The problem is that those N/W mins, although many, are limited.
