Wonderfull, I can't keep up. I was just considering a GPRS data plan, since I have two phones that could use it. Of course, when I NEED it, I'll buy. I saw this press release this morning in the Commercial Appeal. COtech
Yes, but how is the service speed? Is there major latency(lag) issues like GRPS and EDGE? Also, call quality? Is it ok?
I don't know, as I haven't sprung for a data plan yet. I don't have a UMTS capable phone. I'm holding back into next year, when GSM/ANSI136 compatibility gets removed from my plan. Cingular knows about my Nokia 6340i, and it works in USCC country in Missouri on TDMA. The 6340i can only do data as SMS and CSD (now unsupported). If I run across someone using it (shoulder surfing in Starbucks), then I'll coment further. COtech
When I tried the Samsung Blackjack in NYC the sound was excelent it was the same on other 3g ones too. After speaking to a techabout this they said that voice is also carried over on the 3G frequency and yes call quality is a lot better.
