Does anyone know where there are maps of cingular's 1900mhz coverage because i bought my phone over-seas (sony ericsson k600i) and it doesnt have 850 mhz which cingular uses a lot. I just want to know when i should ever bring along my bad phone that has 850mhz whenever i go places in the usa.
Check out : http://onlinestorez.cingular.com/ce.../pop_mapfinder.jsp?zip=12345&mapt=nationalMap You can enter your zipcode as it asks, but I've noticed that it gives you the same national map everytime regardless of the zipcode.
The main areas are the West Coast & Nevada, plus the Carolinas and most of East Tennessee, Indianapolis, Cleveland, OH an parts of Philly along with New York. hope this helps.:browani:
this link will show you the broadband connect area for cingular...also known as UMTS...UMTS is only available on 1900 mhz at this point in time.... http://www.cingular.com/broadbandconnect_consumer

south florida has pretty strong 1900 Mhz coverage. Used a 3650 for a while and had no reception problems
Does anyone know the 1900MHz coverage for Orlando, FL? Any help would be great because the Cingular associates at the stores don't know. Thanks!
I got along fine with a 1900 MHz only Pacific Bell branded phone in March, on the then unintegrated ATTWS PCS networ with my Cingular SIM. Specificly, this was in Altemonte Springs, Florida, on the north side of Orlando. If you follow up this thread, you can find band specific maps. COtech
