Cincinnati Bell Wireless Retains #1 Network Quality Ranking; Independent Study Confirms Best Network in Cincinnati and Dayton for Second Consecutive Year

All Business Wire NewsBased on the results of an independent study that included more than 3,000 miles of drive tests in and around Cincinnati and Dayton, Cincinnati Bell Inc. CBB has earned bragging rights for the best wireless network for the second year in a row.

"We aim to consistently deliver the best possible calling experience for our customers," said Mike Vanderwoude, vice president and general manager of Cincinnati Bell Wireless. "That means operating a superior wireless network and offering innovative calling plans. Having independent confirmation that our network has fewer dropped calls and better call quality than the competition is obviously something we are very proud of."

The study, which was conducted in July and August, collected and analyzed data from approximately 30,000 calls made on the networks of the area's six largest wireless carriers including Cincinnati Bell Wireless, Cingular, Cricket, Sprint, T-Mobile and Verizon. According to the results, Cincinnati Bell Wireless' network had the fewest dropped calls and the best call quality in Cincinnati and Dayton. This is the second year for the independent study, which is conducted by a third-party network engineering organization.

When I lived in Dayton, I knew a few people that had CBW and they were pretty happy with their service. CBW is a 1900 only carrier and they did build a great network. Except that they are GSM, but we wont go there, hehehe
    :loony:

Cingular needs to wake up in this market as they own the cellular B licenses and CBW blows them away with their PCS network.

I still dont know how that can be. Myself and all my family members have left CBW becuase of the problems we had. We ended up with Sprint and Verizon and are now happy.

Cincy bell is good, has anyone used I-Wireless? If not, don't! It's cheap, but you get what you pay for, especially in coverage area.

I-wireless uses Cincinnati Bells network. It is CBW's pre-paid phones. How can you say CBW is good but I-wireless isn't. Its the same network.
