Thanks for posting that. I did a quick check of our area and found a few antennas that weren't there. But still all in all a great site. Thanks again for the post.
your welcome, i just wish they would give more info on who's leasing some of these towers, according to map i have a tower, less then i mile from me but since i have had so much trouble, and setting here with 2-3 bars i have to presume this tower has nothing to to with att, sad
Well I know that even when there are towers and antennas present it doesn't list them. Here at my place of employment we have an AT&T and an Alltel tower on two of our buildings, but neither of those are shown.
Here's another site. Using information provided by the FCC, IIRC Cell Phone Tower Search - Cell Phone Service and Tower Search
I just used this and did a search of my zip code (92867) and it turned up absolutely NO Sprint towers or antennas anywhere. So I would say it's not a good tool for me.
ok, so I am an idiot, that has just about all the info as, the fcc data base. Next time I will check more, instead of open mouth, insert foot.
I'm wondering.... and Ummmm, there were 2 links provided before your posts.... which link didn't work?
Cool site. It's was neat to see how many towers and antennas their are in my area. No wonder there's so much radiation around here...:browani:
I have used the Antenna Search website and larry was right about Sprint not being listed. I use the site occasionally, but it lacks all Sprint and most Verizon sites in my area. Antenna search is very good about listing Nextel sites and they have most of the Unicel sites in my area as well. It is a nice site, they just don't have very complete information about many cell sites.
Interesting sites, the Antenna search has more than the Cell Tower Search, but they are both missing quite a lot of sites. Fun to play with though.
