Recently bought a Galaxy A20. About 2 weeks ago, the 'fast charging" stopped working. Did a reset and it worked again...for about 2 days. Did another reset and now fast charge does not work-phones take about 10 hrs. to fully charge from 1%. When charger is unplugged, phone (settings) shows "fast charge" enabled. Plug in adapter and that "grays out". Obviously, charger-tether are new and I cannot find anything obstructing the charging port. I took to shop and they claimed "battery is in fine working order". Didn't leave it because it would take at least 5 days(???). Is this a firmware issue that I could remedy? THANX
If you Google "fast charging not working Galaxy A20" it's a known issue with numerous steps to try. That's about the only thing I can find.
RE: palandri Thanx for responding. Yes, have done many a "search", but maybe not with the exact phrase you recommended. Will try that. IDK, but I'm thinking it's a firmware issue and perhaps(???) I might have to flash that part of the O.S....if possible. I'm want to see if I can "repair" that problem for the shop told me it would take 3-5 days??? Damn, get a new phone and here's what you get!!!
Have you tried calibrating your Android battery? battery calibration might be helpful in this situation. You'll find a guide if you search a bit. Also, you can a a calibration app from the Google play store
This was the exact problem I was facing about 6 months ago. When I searched about it I found these problems occurred when your device get in contact with unwanted websites, files, apps and etcetera. Now you have to get it to repair and then follow some. basic security methods. I hope it will help you.
