I just changed my number for the 3rd time because annoying ex-gf sends me 20 text messages a day. I figured out who was giving her my number, so I don't anticipate that happening again.

Anyway, my question is besides paying $36 dollars every time i change it, are there any other negative consequences when changing yur number so many times.

Have any of you heard about grandcentral? I think from now on I'll be giving non-work and non-family members a grandcentral number.

Nkrypted uses greand Central I think, He seems pretty happy with it. There are a few others who use it, there is a Grand Central therad here somewhere.

I for one use grand central and love it but it will not help you with your text messaging problem. The one thing I am loving it for is that I can give that number to people who I will deal with for a short term period that way when our business is done I dont worry about them giving out my real number, Also it has a call screen option so if someone calls private it will not go through to my actual phone. I do have a couple more invites I think if you would like one please send me a PM. I have been using grand central way before google bought it.

Sorry wanted to add that if you have any idea who is giving out your number I would start just giving out a grand central number to them so then you can keep track of who you have given your real number. Then you can find who is the bad apple in the barrel.
