I bought Sony Xperia Z early this year but Z's non-removable battery was not a problem until it was totally died and i cannot change a new one! So i want to have a new phone with removable battery then Note 3 comes out with big screen and removable battery!...and actually I am those play games a lot. Even though the Samsung Note3’s stock battery seems great, i still want a replacement battery due to my personal early history. So I searched on google/amazon/ebay, found some OEM batteries and another Note iii extended battery named MPJ( saw different model battery review in other forums ) but need pre-order and it seems be shipped out on Oct.16….any advice? Whether I should buy the OEM(cheaper) or MPJ (looks much better /4500mAh and 8500mAh available)?
When buying an extended battery I usually wait a while until there are enough reviews/ratings to choose. I bought an Onite battery for my Galaxy Nexus and was pretty happy with it. So I'd wait a couple of months before buying an extended battery for Note 3.
I usually just stick with the OEM for batteries, but it seems like they are not making extended batteries any more. I have a Note 2 and I bought an extra battery just in case. Sent from the Blanco Beast, SCH-i605
Before considering any backup battery, i am thinking of buying note 3 first...it would be helpful if @kinki offers more infos about ur future extended battery
I've found some reviews online about extended batteries on note 3, find some reviews of this brand for other sizes, and seem to be fine. Ordered one and may share my review if any need it
Sorry to derail topic. Do all Samsung phones have options to change batteries? I am torn between getting a note 3 or waiting for S5.
I think so far all of them had removable batteries. There are some rumors that S5 (or at least some of S5 variations) may not. S5 is supposedly going to be announced in a couple of weeks, so we'll probably know then.
I haven't heard of a Samsung the doesn't have removable batteries. Sent from my SM-N900V using Tapatalk
Thankfully Samsung left the removable battery those who are planning to get the the new S5. Sent from my Galaxy Note 3.
I don't think Samsung made a phone where users didn't have the ability to switch out the Battery. Sent from my Galaxy Note 3.
My experience with the Hyperion brand batteries has been great. I have used them in all my recent phones including the current Note3. Just last week one of the batteries began to show a noticeable bulge. I immediately wrote Hyperion and within a week they shipped me a replacement free. Their written promise to the customer is a 2-year guarantee.
I think "survival mode" is a great idea and should be standard in every phone, not only when 10% batter remains, but to be able to switch it on/off at will. Would be great for hikers or people who are not near any power outlets for extended periods of time and only need the availability of making calls and SMS. Or in disaster situations like hurricanes, etc when power is out for an extended time. Very useful feature.
Galaxy S5 is having removable battery. Most of us think about the battery issues. Still there is no replacement or proper innovative solution for this issue by any companies. Do you guys think there will be some invention for this making battery life a lot longer or some solar charging automatically on your cellphones
