I have a service plan and all I want to do is upgrade my phone. I have searched the net for pricing but every site includes a service plan with phone. Where can I compare prices on different models of cells without a plan?

    Thanks, Bob

Your best bet is to go into a Sprint Store and tell them you want to upgrade your phone. They should give you a certain amount of credit to a new phone which will be much more reasonable tan the prices at 1800mobiles without service plans.

Sprint hasnt accepted trade-ins for a few years now. When they use to do it, it was $50 bucks regardless of phone model. Just curious as to where you got that info from?

I'd heard somewhere on the net that if you call up customer service and say you want to upgrade your phone they will sometimes give you the credit(I guess it's $50 bucks). Not sure if it still occurs at all. Perhaps it's more of a hush hush thing now.

he..he only incidents i know of that happening are when you get lucky and a "push over" customer service rep picks up the phone. If you yell and scream at them enough, they will cry and cave into your every demands. LOL that was a "hush hush" tip. But you didnt hear it from me [IMG]

Oh and another tip is, Sprint reps that you call over the phone are usually pretty dumb. They are only good for issues relating to "credits or curtesy minutes" If you have any problems with handsets, they are trained with 1 and only 1 line "go into a store for a software upgrade". Ive had customers come in the store with phones broken in half and dipped in paint asking for software upgrades at the request of cust service. *sigh*

I haven't looked at Sprint, but ebay has a lot of AT&T and Verizon compatible phones.
