How can I locate the frequency that Verizon uses for cell phones and hot spots on the tower that services my home?

If you search with your ZIP code on our front page here: http://www.wirelessadvisor.com/
you can see what frequency licenses Verizon owns in your area.

That doesn't tell you what is used on your closest tower though. But....if you can post a picture of that tower here, some of our members may be able to tell by looking at the antennas.
