CDMA vs GSM

    Very true...I had Verizon and traveled a lot. Often I was on "extended network", I could make and receive calls...but text messaging didn't work which was a problem for me....as well as no voice mail notification.

    That is true, with the exception being Kyocera, but im not a big fan of their phones.

    All of the time I spend in an area, everything worked correctly, the one exception was that when I was in the Green Bay WI area, I was roaming digital, but no features would work.

    Where were you that it didnt work right?

    Amarillo Texas, extended network, no text messaging and no voice mail notification. I also had to call my number to check messages...the *whatever code that is used when you hold the 1 button down did not work.
