That's nothing new. Just about every dealer in this area has a dumpster out front with cars sticking out of it.
Most cars don't qualify for this program so it's useless for many who have an old car but can't trade it in because it doesn't meet the mileage requirements.
Tell me about it. I would have loved to trade in my car (2000 Acura TL) for a 4-cyl. gas miser, but my car is not eligible for C4C...
Well, my 1981 Buick doesn't qualify - too old. My 98 GMC K1500 technically qualifies, but its paid for, and the dealer says it runs just as well as a new truck. It'd be a waste to send it in. My 86 Chevy Silverado with 190,000 miles would be good to consider, but it gets driven less than 500 miles/yr anyway. Cheaper for me to just keep driving it. -Jay
Not terribly big. I leave the 86 Silverado at my parent's house. Dad likes to have a beater to drive to the dump and the hardware store. He only puts 500 miles/yr on it, if that much. My Buick is parked at work, and I fire it up about twice a week to take on my daily errands. The primary vehicle is the 98 GMC K1500, and that does get parked at home at night. -Jay
