Alright, I am about fed up with Simplefreedom.

It had been working great until recently, when I began having problems.

First, I would have to do two-stage dialing in my local area.

Then, half the time I would hear NOTHING when I called out....no dial tone, no message for two stage dialing...nothing. But the phone claimed I was connected. And yes, the volume was all the way up. :)

I could not call out for the past couple days. I tried calling the home phone on the cell, but it did not work.

It has reverted back to two-stage dialing, but now a new problem has occurred.

I can't receive calls now. When people try to call, they get the message that the number "cannot accept calls at this time."

What the hell does that mean? I have enough minutes, am paid up on them, and they do not expire for a year.

I called technical support, and they frankly were no help.

Does this sound like a problem with my phone, or is it a NETWORK issue? I haven't dropped the phone or anything that should cause it to stop working, and the fact that it occassionally can still dial out makes me think the network around here is screwy.

    Which is frankly infuriating me.

This is not acceptable, and I am considering dropping Simple Freedom because of it.

If you have any ideas on what could be causing the problem, I would appreciate it. I have a Kyocera SoHo.

    Thanks.

    Roy

Use U Prepaid instead, same Alltel network, and vzw free roaming, better/cheaper plans, better customer service. www.alltelu.com

I take it I can't switch to U-Prepaid without losing my phone and number?

(Why isn't U-Prepaid offering the Kyocera Soho anyway...I like it and will have to give it up to switch).

There is no way to port a prepaid number, so you would lose your number, you can use your Soho phone with u prepaid. You will need the unlock code for when they activate it. Which I was given, I would give you the one I used but I don't have it anymore:( and I'm not sure if it changes for different phones or whether it is across the board for that type of phone. They must have just recently stopped offering the Soho for new service...

it is different for everyone phone. and i doubt u talked to tech since we still handle SF tech issues. we prefer not to talk to the customer and usually deal with the SF rep directly. sometimes they transfer us the caller in which we will transfer them right back to SF unless we ask them to send us the caller. We have 11 tech reps who are double Qued to take SF issues since they use our network. I still have access to the lock codes and with ur ESN can give it to you.

PLEASE NOTE PEOPLE. I OFFERED IT TO THIS PERSON BEING NICE. PLEASE DO NOT FLOOD ME AGAIN WITH PRIVATE MESSAGES ASKING FOR THE LOCKCODE LIKE WHAT HAPPENED LAST TIME. YOU WILL BE IGNORED!!!!
