I recently left Sprint b/c they suck and joined Verizon. I am trying to get my Fiance to switch from Sprint as well and get on a family plan with me. I have the Motorola T720. She has a Samsung SPH-N200 from Sprint and I am wondering if there is a way to make it work on Verizon's service? I believe Sprint and Verizon both use CDMA do they not? -tk
It can be done if you have the MSL for your phone. Tell Sprint you want to change your phone number, they will walk you through the process over the phone. Write down the 6 digit number they give you, it's the MSL. Once you have that you can unlock your phone and use it on Verizon.
That phone can't work on Verizon because it does not suport CDMA 800 Mhz, only CDMA 1900Mhz and AMPS. Most of verizons network is 800 Mhz CDMA which is why ALL Verizon phones are tri band.
