No. Alltel does not use SIM cards so that would not work. Alltel also does not allow other carrier's phones to be activated on the Alltel network.
Fail of the epic proportions. Yes, Alltel does have SIM cards even though they are a CDMA2000 carrier, everybody should know that some of their market still does use SIM cards from past acquisitions on GSM/EDGE networks. https://www.alltelsimcard.com/ The Alltel simcard though is mostly for international use with their international partners. This is also why you get free international texting with Alltel (if you have unlimited texting or texting at all other wise you will be billed the normal 40c per message).
But the only phone that Alltel offers now is the Blackberry World Edition IIRC that takes a SIM. Good luck getting your W315 or whatever to work with a SIM.
