Calm Down

Well to calm down, I either surf WA (thanks for reminding me Charlyee), play a video game , or listen to some music (such as dance or trance).

I have found that all of these things calm me down when I am in a bad mood or really stressed out.

 

To calm down I come to browse WA ofcourse.

 

Whoops I forgot to include that (the most important one ).

I usually go for a walk, cook something complicated, or say the rosary.

 

Sit at the piano and play some Chopin... that usually works. If I'm not in the mood to play, I'll listen to some music - usually piano or violin.

 

I listen to music or take some time to reflect on recent and pleasant times I spent with my extended family (grandparents, cousins etc). My immediate family is in CA so I see a couple times during the year for the holidays or during the summer.

 

Now that I have my trusty iPod, I just kick back with it & play some of my Comedy Playlist, and/or stuff from my High-school Years Playlist- (Many moons ago!!!)

Pre-iPod, all my music was and still is in my car... :cool2:

 

To relieve some tension I play Counter Strike, set it up with bots, and shoot the hell out of 'em.

 

I mostly listen to music, or come here to WA.

 

I like to unwind and surf the net while I have the TV on in the background. I usually check out WA, MotoModders, and sometimes HoFO out before bed. It seems lately I've been searching for that perfect mod to screw up my phone...LOL

 

1. Remember that I've been through worse.

2. Remember that I have only 31 days left at work (as of now)

3. exercise.

 

A good workout at the gym usually takes all the stress right out of me.....it leaves me feeling nice and refreshed everytime.

Of course catching up with everyone here helps as well....

AND when I get a REALLY bad day.....I go to THIS WEBSITE to restore some sanity in my day :cool2:

That's funny. I remember those 2 critters were on Quizno's commercials for a while there.

 

When I'm having a bad day I'll listen to music, watch a good episode of The Adventures of Pete and Pete or News Radio or maybe go for a drive. A lot of times, if I'm having a bad day at work, the drive home will calm me, provided I don't run into any morons who don't know how to drive on my way home.

 

Here in LA, that's inevitable...

 

Same in SW Florida with everyone coming from up north. They drive like they own the roads down here.

I hate season down here in Florida.

 

Yep, Snowbird season is just getting started.

The things I've seen in my area made me decide to not get my drivers licence. And use the areas public transportation.

 

once you get to AZ, that'll be the norm too!!!

 

We even have two varieties of crappy driver: the small-ed s from Beverly Hills or Brentwood who have to compensate for their small s by driving a fancy sports car as aggressively as possible, and the nervous mom who hasn't been here very long in the broken-down old car driving sixteen miles an hour and taking up both lanes of Vanowen Street.

 

Oh, I can't wait for that!

Usually if I am in a bad mood I like to drive around, then come here and get some laughs when possible. Since the gas prices are nuts, it's walking, comedy and here that help.

 

Come all to the German Autobahn where driving as fast as you desire is 7th Heaven or Cloud 9 whichever you prefer .

 

I usually take a drive with my favorite music when I'm in a bad mood or mad and that helps
