Alright I know this has been asked before but I need to refresh my memory. If I am on a call with someone and then someone else tries calling me they will hear the little beep. You know (brrriiiinnngggg beep). What is this called and can you request to have this taken off.
I am sorry I did not use the search button I could have found this out the easy way thanks Quint. I did try calling in to tech support to get this off they didnt know what I was talking about does any one know of a back door number to get to a higher level of tech support to get this done?
You just need to get a rep willing to do it for you- I've heard people needing a few phone calls before someone was actually able/willing to do in and disable that feature.
Yeah they said that we have a different voice mail system here andthat due to that and the switch we have we cant have this done. The guy was very great.
Lol that is the great thing about talking to someone right here in Salt Lake compared to some companies who transfer you to their Tech Support overseas.
Cool... that sucks that the voicemail platform prevents you from disabling the distinctive ringback, though. I find it kind of odd that the voicemail is different even across state lines. I usually get someone in Tampa or South Carolina when I call into CS... so i get semi local CS support; although I have gottem reps in Texas, California, and Atlanta before :browani: Glad that you got some type of resolution, RJB
I've never gotten tech support for my phone overseas. When I call 611 I usually get the call center in Oaklahoma city. -Jay
Same here. With Verizon, I'd get someone down south or in Illinois, USCC usually gets me someone 10 miles from my parents house in Waukesha, WI. AT&T gives me people all over the d--- country.
