On the cheaper phones that you own, were they with AT&T or T-Mobile? GSM phones show an indicator when call forwarding is activated. Also activation of call forwarding on GSM phones is done through the phone's menu (at least in my experience with all GSM phones I've owned).

CDMA phones, like the Mogul (and other Sprint and Verizon phones) require a forwarding code to be dialed along with the forwarding number, much like the way land line call forwarding works.

It's a case of different technologies. Now if you have had a Sprint or Verizon phone that actually showed call forwarding was active, then it might be a manufacturer feature. Your Mogul is made by HTC, which apparently does not have a call forwarding indicator on it.

Unless there is some third-party software that offers a visible call forwarding icon or display, you may be out of luck.

As Mike pointed out this may be a WM or HTC feature or lack there of. My home phone is forwarded on no answer or busy to my cell phone and on my Treo it just comes in as a regular incoming call, nothing shows it as a forwarded call.

I think Mike is spot on. When I forward calls to my Sprint phone, all I ever get is the incoming caller ID, but no idication of whether or not the incoming call was forwarded to my phone or not. When I forwarded calls to my old AT&T GoPhone I would get notified that the incoming call was a forwarded call.

I think you guys might have mistaken my problem. I forward a land line to my cell phone. When the cell phone rings I can not tell if the call I am recieving is a forwarded call (land line number) or a call that is to my cell number.

Actually, we did understand it...with Sprint (and apparently Verizon) there is no way to tell.

With AT&T (and probably T-Mobile) the caller ID will display "forwarded call" when an incoming call placed to a different number is forwarded to that phone.

Wirelessly posted (Treo 750: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows CE; IEMobile 7.6) UP.Link/6.3.1.17.06.3.1.17.0)

My Treo on AT&T does not display "forwarded call". It shows the number of the incoming call whether it is forwarded from my landline or called directly to my cell.

I am thinking it is a WM or SmartPhone thing!

We didn't misunderstand it. The Mogul will NOT show anything to indicate when a call from your land line is forwarded to your cell, plain and simple. This is just the way it is.
