Hi, my Sanyo 8100 won't turn on, if you try to turn it on, it turns on and turns back off after a second, and it keeps turning on automatically over and over again after that, but it won't stay on. I've had it charged and I'm not sure if the issue is with the battery. Also, it got a little wet prior to all of this funny business and I'm not sure if that may have caused it. Does anyone have any ideas as to what it could be and/or if it's fixable?[IMG]

For me the key words are "it got a little wet". It still amazes my how little water/moisture it takes to completely mess up a cell phone. The bad thing with water damage is it is nearly impossible to get the phone working like it did. I doubt getting a new battery would help. If you have a Sprint Corp. store in your area with a service center, I would recommend you take it there to have the phone looked at. But more then likely you will have to buy a new phone, unless you got phone insurance when you signed up with Sprint. [IMG]

tell you what. i dropped one of my older ones in the toilet. after the flush ofcourse lol but the tech told me take battery off and ket dry for a few days or even take case off that was in i wasnt covered any warranties etc... and poof it worked, now i dont recommend ya doing anything that requires you to take phones apart but do as you do at your own risk.. but water is lethal in some cases.. good luck!

Yeah, your first mistake was trying to turn it on after it got wet (or not immediately turning it off) before allowing the insides to fully dry. If you have insurance just file a claim and get your replacement. If not leave the phone off for a few days and try again. More than likely budney is right...your phone is not going to work properly again and you will need a new one.
