I bought a used Nokia 2260 phone off of eBay. The seller was a cellphone shop owner.

I noticed that I can not reset the phone setting to default because of the security code. Would I need to contact the seller (who needs to contact the previous owner) for the security code or is there another method?

Or can I contact AT&T to help me out?

I would call ATT, have the ESN number handy. They will probably be able to help you. In a situation like this the first thing they will do is make sure that the phone was not reported stolen or lost.
