    Hey everybody,

Recently RIM released the BlackBerry Tour to Verizon and Sprint. Next down the line for at&t is the BlackBerry Onyx (9020).

The BlackBerry Onyx is the one closest to the camera. The one that is further away is called the BlackBerry Gemini.

As seen in the photo, they may be replacing the trackball with an optical trackpad. I recently talked to someone that has used the trackpad on the Gemini and they said it works just as good or better than the current trackball.

It also has been said that it may have a faster processor than the Bold (which was a 624-MHz StrongARM processor).

I recently talked with an at&t field tester for BlackBerry and he stated that they are still deciding on whether to use the ball or trackpad.

at&t field testers will get this phone the first or second week of August.

Look for a November release date (as of 7/13/09) this date is subject to change and is not yet set in stone. :)

    Take care,

    Alien.

The BlackBerry Onyx is not the 9020 anymore. Instead, it will the the 9700. Also, RIM may change the name from Onyx to the BlackBerry Merlin.
