Yes that is right, sorry, thought you were saying each of your accounts lines require a number to entered even if it is the same one. Haha....

haha...yes, we were thinking the same thing. This works great for me because my wife and I can put most of our family/friends in, so the only real anytime min usage would come from more random people...which we usually don't talk to as long as friends and family....

Better, but you should at least use the Shift Key on occassion - like when you start a sentence. Using proper capitalization and punctuation makes your post easier to read and portrays you in a better light.

Yes, I work for Alltel but I don't know what crap you have to put up with. The worst I have to put up with is customers trying to "pull one over" and get something they aren't entitled to, then get bent out of shape when I don't give it to them and complain about "poor customer service." Meh, doesn't bother me.

work in a retail store and constantly get hounded by management over stupid stuff and thats why most customers complain about service in a retail store bc all you get is yelled at all day. retail management needs to be changed... maybe that will be a change in 08 too but wont hold my breath

Any of the alltel employees have info on new phones that will be coming out. My contract ends in May and none of the current phones are exactly what I want. The Wave is nice and I think LG is the best brand that alltel offers at the time. I want the LG Rumor and according to CES 2008 it is coming to alltel. Any news on the release date of that?

    :)

I've been doing this for a long time... and you can't let your managers poor attitude reflect in your work... just rememeber that the customer you are helping today, and going the extra mile for is the person you work for not your manager. Take care of the customer and everything else will fall into place.

    Question
    We have 2 Alltel accounts (both Nat'l Freedom 900 + added line ($59.99 + $9.99)
    which is $69.98 x 2 = $139.96 (each account has 10 My Circle numbers)

Is it a good idea to join the accounts into one? Or can this even be done?
(I'll have the new $99.99 plan with 20 circle numbers)
and add 3 lines for 29.97,
for a grand total of $129.96 per month (so we'd be saving $10/mo)

The contracts on both of my accounts end in September '08,
do I have to go until then, or will they let me join accounts now for no fee?

yes you can do something called a change of responsibilty and combine both accts if you wish. just go into your local alltel store and let them know thats what you wanna do they should be able to process in a 24 hr window. it sometimes takes overnight to process the transfer.

If both accounts are under the same name then theres no responsibility change and you can do it over the phone or in the store.

The accounts are in different names, so I'd have to have both primary account holders at the local store,
or will this not work? and is there a fee to combine the accounts, or contract issues?

Then both primary holders will have to go into the store. No extra fees, unless the main holder is required to put down a deposit for the extra lines. Contracts remain the same.

I wonder when and if we'll all start seeing the new Alltel commercials for these new & improved My Circle plans.
It would be interesting, I can't wait to see them :browani:

    Yes

    Read Sunday's Ads

To their giving each user 10. The most any other carrier gives that I know about is TMobile with 5 to each, but you lose your Mobile to Mobile.

The mycircle was what sold me on alltel. tmobile was tempting, as each phone gets 5 numbers to call, but lack of mobile to mobile, and lack of interest in the area killed it for me. verizon was tempting, but again, lack of verizon presence in an alltel-dominated area, and no mycircle option was the deal-breaker. the smartchoice plan was much better than most anything any other provider had to offer.

Nope. If you want to combine accounts under the same name it won't be done over the phone. We can initiate the request via the phone at CS but we don't actually MAKE the change nor is it done during the phone call. We submit it to the offline group and it can take around 5-7 business days to process.

Sure you can. Maintain > Account structure maintenance > Pick the numbers to move and choose the account they are going to. Sometimes they don't always move right away, usually you future data it to the next day/etc

    Re: Moved Posts

I'm closing this thread because the off-topic arguing is pretty pointless and the fact that Alltel is changing their My Circle program has been covered enough in this thread, IMHO.

Any further discussion of the changes can take place in a new thread.

Also, Alltel Customer Service can process account merging requests. I confirmed it with them today, in fact they tell me that there is a how-to for the technique in their database.
