I am going to switch from Verizon to Unicel (Unicel seems to have better coverage in my area) and I am wonder which one of these phones would provide the best reception. I am not woried about any other features besides reception.

So, Nokia provides better reception for GSM service as compared to Motorola or LG?

I would have to say that the Motorola V3 preforms very well, especially in low signal areas.

I would say any Nokia or Motorola phone will definately out perform any LG GSM phone.
I personally like Nokia's best for reception, but Moto's are very good also. ;)

Most Nokia's are also very rugged and can take much abuse. (My 3595 hit the pavement at 45mph and other than a scuffed case it still works perfectly, I believe Moto's are pretty rugged also but I've never abused one to that degree to find out.)

I would go with any of the Nokias or the Moto V555 & Razr. Lower end Motos seem to have too many problems. And just stay far away from any LG GSM phone, mega POS. :)

I put phones through hell. My Motorolas have always held up. The biggest problem I ever had was I had broken the antenna off of my V60t a couple of times, but now that Motorola has redesigned their antennas I have not had that problem on my V551. My friends that have V3's have also put them through hell, and they emerge unscathed.

I've been using a v3 for a couple of weeks. It is very good, better than my previous phone, Samsund e315 for sure. Nokias have always been good for me as well.

Read the thread on the test I performed between the Nokia 3220 and the Motorola V555.
