I'm really not trying to be a smartåss, but you need to do some homework. It's not hard. Use google and you'll find sites that compare prepaid cellphone service. One to try is cellguru.net. There are many others. Are you looking for the cheapest per month rate or the cheapest per minute rate? Are you looking for a "glovebox" phone or are you wanting something that you would use every day? Maybe a "hybrid" plan is better for you. If you're looking for data that's another thing to add to what you're searching for. Unless you have some idea of what you want it would be foolish of anyone to make any recommendation for you. HTH.
Maybe he was not asking for advice. Maybe he was asking to get a general opinions to start a conversation, sort of like an opinion questionnaire. I personally think price would fall to Smart talk, unlimited for forty five dollars. I would consider Cricket or Metro if available to me. Service, (I think coverage) would be ATT or Tracfone. As far as customer service, none of them. They are all rotten (in my opinion.) I use a tracfone because I use my landline most often. My wife has an iPhone so I can use that if I ever want to jump on the net while we are out. I just recently tried att GoPhone with the unlimited thing but I didn't use it to make it cost effective. What are other opinions out there.
Sure, but each person looking for service whether it's prepaid or postpaid monthly service is probably looking for something specific to meet their needs. Some people want the absolute cheapest thing to outlay and with the least "muss and fuss." Other people are looking at the cheapest per minute rate. Others are looking at something that will let them gab and text for hours on end. Each person has individual needs so there's no one size fits all.
I couldn't agree more. The prepaid market is vast with many different types of levels of service. Absolutely there's no "one size fits all".
I was advised to look for 2 prepaid phones for 2 young boys for Christmas (15 years old). Ebay, Best Buy, at&t website are all options. We would buy them...and it would be up to their mothers to provide money for refills. I think they want to text, but I don't know if that will be a necessary expense. Anyone out there with kids...who got their kids prepaid phones...keeping in mind the extreme possiblity of loss and/or damage to them?
