I am with ATT and was curious which phones you all would suggest as far as picking up signal would be. I have a Razr V3xx right now and does alright I get 3 to 4 bars in 2 places in my house. But if anyone knows of one that is better at picking up signal then this phone I would be so thankful to listen to suggestions.

    Nokia 6103, 6010, 2260

The death star formally known as Cell One.
Motorolas are real good reception phones.

Nokia makes alot of good reception phones. Some of the better reception phones have no cameras and make more room for a better antenna.

If you can deal with out a camera I suggest a Nokia 6010 its an older model phone with no frills but it gets better signal than my Motorolas, ___ and other Nokias I have.

My dad now has my 6010 its 4 years old its on its 3rd battery, its been dropped so many times you cant see the screen and all the numbers are rubbed off and it still get better signal than my brand new Nokia.

The Tilt does quite well, a lot better than any converged device I've ever had before. My old Motorola V551 kicked but and took names as far as reception went. My reception king is my Motorola A845. Its virtually a brick phone by today's standards, but it does have the US 850 and 1900 bands, and has UMTS data. The phone gets the best reception of all of my phones, and has the loudest & clearest cellular speaker phone I have ever used. The A845 is a hard model to come by as they were sold by the old "AT&T Wireless" (before the Cingular merger) and only for a short period of time in limited markets. If you do buy an A845 it will need to be unlocked for use on AT&T now.

Sounds like you have good coverage where you are at with 4 bars of signal, i would look for a phone that has features that suits your needs instead of one with more RF being that signal doensn't seem to be an issue where you're at imho.

The 3 to 4 bars is ONLY in 2 very small areas on a window ledge what I am doing right now is using a bluetooth earpiece and setting it in the good signal location. But anywhere else other then them 2 spots I get ZERO bars..

And I may look into the nokia 6010 it would probably be cheap to try since it dont have all the bells and whistles I dont have to have a camera in my phone. My main concern for a phone is realiablity and good signal and bluetooth. Right now I have a razr v3xx.

sounds like you have a problem with your phone if that is the case. i would definetly look into a new model.

my technical standards, the V9 and Z9 and Tilt are the 3 strongest on signal that ATT has to offer right now from what ive seen.

it sounds to me like your dillemma is not what kind of phone to get... but more how to get signal....

how do OTHER phone do in the same are (same carrier preferably) if the signal comapres the same the problem is **not the phone**, its the construction of the structure or something else blocking signal like a big hill etc...where its low signal everywhere but 2 places I would consider a signal booster
