I need a loud ringing Cingular phone. I currently have the Motorola 551 and not loud enough. Can anyone provide me with info. I already wear one radio microphone in one ear so another in other ear is not an option!
Try different ringtones to see which one sounds louder. A lot of times some ringtones don't take very good advantage of the speaker. If the V551 is still not loud enough for you, then you should switch to Nextel. There's nothing as loud as a Nextel phone in the market today! A friend of mine at work has a V551 and that thing blasts all over the building when it rings! It is VERY loud. I believe you are not using the best ringtone to get the most of it. Currently the Motorolas are Cingular's loudest phones.
Did you set the Ringer Volume to Max? How about downloading an MP3 Ringer? Or you can wait for this Wide Screen Motorola.
The Razr with the "continental" or "classic" ringtone is loud enough to be heard in a loud enviroment, as a matter of fact most Motos have both of this ringtones or you can even download it to your phone. As previously mentioned, the Motos have good loud ringers.
I own a drycleaner and I also have a V551. There is a **lot** of noise in the back of the store when all of the equipnent is in use. I have no problem hearing my V551, but I have to have the ringer set on "Siren". All other ringers it is hit or miss whether I hear it or not. Also make sure your ringer volume is set on 7. Let me know if this helps you, Jay
yep, I can hear my phone anywhere in the store, with all the equipment running, even if I leave it on my desk. It sure scares the heck out of the customers in line though. everyone thinks it is some kind of alarm going off inside the store, but least I can hear it. -Jay
Most Motos are fine, you just need to test out ringers. If that does not work, Nextel phones are super loud.
Same for me, being at some scenes get real loud & if I forget to put the phone on Vibrate, this ringer gets my attention.
I know exactly how that is. Before I owned my own business and worked 80+ hours a week I used to be the 2nd Lt. for my local volunteer rescue squad (Hence Jay2TheRescue). I apologize for any poor image quality, I just quickly scanned a picture that was on my desk. -Jay HTTP://MEMBERS.AOL.COM/JAY2DRESQ
