I like the Motorola T720 (Verizon 19c) a lot, but only had it for a month - so time will tell. As for best Motorola phone of all time, these were some of my favorites and gave me many years of excellent service:

    1) Original Motorola Microtac (acquired in 1989 - black case)
    2) Motorola MicroTac Elite (acquired in 1995 - black case)
    3) Motorola StarTac 8600 (acquired in 1997 - black case)

the best phone i think that motorola came out with was the startac, and not changing with the v60c/i. i work for verizon and to me they are the best as far as being customer friendly and easy to work on (thats good for me, as i am in the service dept). now, as to what verizon was before it was verizon, that all depends on what market your in, so in fact, your all right, cuz it seems that verizon is eating up all the cell companies. also, grendal, i am older, but its all good

Well, it depends on the AREA. Verizon actually is a huge conglomeration of various wireless carriers. In TEXAS it was GTE Wireless -> Verizon. But in TEXAS they also bought the PrimeCo network and probably some others as well.

I'm surprised that so few people like the v8160...

Anybody else remember when Bell Atlantic Mobile offered free first incoming minute?

I was under the impression that all digital plans had first free incoming minute?.... did this feature quietly disappear? I've changed Verizon plans a few tiems.

Verizon also had a rule that if there was no voice connected(just rings) it would not count towards airtime.
There was a Motorola a while ago it was a flip phone i dont know if it was startac but all it had was number digits and abatter and signal thing.....no memu or anything i know all phones were like this but im recalling this one...the numbers were orange

Timeport: My fondest memory of the Timeport was the fact that I was able to use the phone in Taiwan by changing the frequency.
Startac: I loved the flip form-factor. But the thing just started to suck when the antenna broke off. Very poor antenna design.
V60i: My current phone. I love the size and the amount of time I can hold a charge.

But now that I've been working for a Nextel distributor, I have to admit that the i95cl and the i90c are awesome phones. If not for the features, then for the 2-way capabilities alone!
