god dammit, they have just put the price back at $299 at least in the philadelphia area on their website. I was going to call someone tomorrow... hopefully they haven't gotten the price change there yet when I talk to them [IMG]. Does anyone have any recommendations on tactics I might use to try to get the $250 price instead of the $299?

You can try threatening to switch carriers to get what you want. I know someone who did that with sprint and in the end he got a 550 minute plan for $39.99 with unlimited nights and weekends, 1000 mobile to mobile minutes, nights beginning at 8pm instead of 9pm, and a $100. off any phone of his choice.

I bought my phone on 10/8. Called central tech support about the .17 issues within the 15 days....they gave me some suggestions and told me to try it a week. Last Monday I went into a store (21 days) and got it swapped out (but no new receipt). Both *611 and the local store refused to reimburse for the $50 price difference. Anybody having any luck and/or got any suggestions?? ARGH![IMG]

In case anyone wonders about the rebate and paying full price, I just got off the phone with a rep in Philadelphia, who offered a price of $189 for the T720 with employee discount. However, he cautioned that it may be a problem with the rebate, but that he was more than willing to sell the phone at that price.

I then got on the phone to a "Brie" at Verizon Wireless Rebates (Young America I presume, 888-826-4932) who disappeared for a couple of minutes and then came back and said that an employee discount would not affect the rebate status. If you guys can find a friend who's an employee or get a discount from the store, it looks like the rebate still would be good.

YMMV, but I like the idea of getting a T720 for $90 [IMG]. The only language in the small print that makes me antsy is "This offer supercedes any other rebate requests and cannot be combined with any other offer." However, it seems clear to me that they are referring to other rebate forms, not an employee discount, and I think this point could be argued well enough that they'd just give up and send the rebate [IMG].

Well, not to brag, but my phone was bought today for $169+tax. So it comes out to something like $80 after rebate. Man, those employee discounts are great! [IMG] Can't wait to receive it tomorrow, Fedex overnight better work.
