i have a VX6000 and whenever i am on the phone every so often it will make a beeping noise. anyone know what it is. or if i need to get my phone replaced? some1 please help soon i dont know when my waranty ends or how soon i have to get my phone replaced!!help me!!!
Is it like a loud beep or a very silent beep? My VX6000 actually does little beeping noises in the background which you can hear if neither of the two parties talk; that's not something that can be changed in the settings, but rather a phone/software problem I think.
i wasnt geting angry..srry if it seemed like that:-/ i think it is a phone issue because i have heard other cases of this happening, my dad is going to run me out to a us cellular store tommrow..if i find out what it is then ill leave another post for everyone!!that way people will know what to do

There seems to be a few complaints about the 6100 lately, so I hope yours works out better. Keep us posted on what happens and btw thanks for sticking up for us "cheeseheads"
o yeah cheeseheads all tha way!!...hahaha..any ways all my friends that have the VX6100 seem to like it better..i like LG becasue of the look and we havent had any problems w/service besides the VX6000, hope this one works!!! ________________ Wisconsin=cheeseheads
If you are getting a phone through insurance, it will be another vx6000. They usually send you the same one. I had the 6100. It was terrible. Bad reception. Strength jumped around. Dropped calls. Turned it in for the Motorola v276. Great phone.
And why would you want to replace an old phone with a slightly less older model? If you get something new, get something new.
Glad you got your new phone, Can I assume that the Moto works in ALL areas where your 6100 failed to work?
Since the 6K is disscontinued the warehouse may not have it in stock anymore..if so then i will be geting a 6100 or somthing equal to the 6K..i havent been able to call them yet..ive been busy allllllll week. Hope to call tommrow! or Saturday!
Jerro...YES the 276 works everywhere my 6100 didn't. Most of the time I have 5 out of 5 bars. In my house, in my basement. Worst case w/6100 was at the gym (no service-MAYBE 1 bar, but still could not get a call to connect) 276 at the gym has 2 bars, sometimes 3. I am very happy w/it. Only negative for me is the camera. And I have read on here that the camera itself is ok, but the resolution on the inside screen isn't good and that's why pics don't look that good. If I chose to download them and print from my computer, they would be good. However, I don't really care about that. I have a digital camera for that. Funny thing is when I first went to get new phone, my husband pointed out the 276 and I said "no way, that is ugly." Well now the outside is silver, not black. Much better looking. It has really grown on me.
Just remember that "number of bars" isn't a true measure of signal. But you are able to place calls in more of those fringe areas and that's what counts.
true the bars are only a "representation" of power. I learned that w/the 6100 because even w/1 bar I could not place a call!! The 276 has worked great for me (so far ) I have not dropped any calls and the reception is great.
My Moto is actually more conservative with bars than my LG, but my Moto can make/receive calls in places my LG cannot.
ok i called them today and they said that they were gunna send me a 6000 hoever..they transfered me to the head people...i told her that this problem was a known thing to happen..so she said that she would put in a request for a diff. model to replace the 6000's so im stuck w/this one unless it happens agin then i will be geting a new one...agin
it's a very faint beeping sound like when you're making an international call but at a much lower level
