I have been having a problem with my new 4400. CS has given me 3 phones and a new battery. All the phones have the same problem, however other models do not.

About 10-20 minutes into the conversation the party I call has trouble hearing me. Comments vary from you are breaking up or your voice is muffled.

As a battery's charge is used, does the voice transmitted tend to deteriorate or does it just end abruptly? If the voice deteriorates slowly, I may invest in a long life battery.

Anyone have comments or similar experience?

That happens to me from time to time, but for me I believe it usually has to do with the quality of my voice, as well as covering the mic with my face.

Lithium Ion batteries are designed to output at a constant rate until they reach a certain discharge threshold. Prior to their reaching that point most, if not all, devices that use these type batteries (as your phone does) emit a warning beep or signal of some sort.

    I don't think it's your battery...
