is anybody using up their battery too fast?, i sure am, has anybody bought any extended battery? which brand? how much? where?
I got mine when I got the phone as part of a promo. Verizon sells them for about $50. Mine phone lasts almost 4 days with average use. I talked about 110 minutes, took 11 pictures, loaded some tones and pics and sent some pic to my e-mail that I had snapped. Definitely worth it. The standard battery lasts me about 1 1/2 days.
sorry rally, your icon look similar to one he used in the past, but i won't comfused you with that new one. lol
thanks GOODMAN, i know what you mean, some of those e-bay generic batteries don't work like original batteries do. just got home from verizon and got an O.G. BATTERY, don't want to risk it. also got an original car charger. some of the aftermarket charger could overcharge your phone, they claim to have the chip that monitors charging times but most of them don't work properly.
just bought an original battery, i don't know about the case, 'cause i don't really like them, they take away from your phone's good looks, that's just my opinion, but i can tell you that it fits the original holster perfect. looks like the holster was designed to be used with the extended battery in mind, something the korean designer got right(unlike that "red" status light).
tonye, dont you think that the extended battery is kind of big? i tried on on a 6000 and thought it felt strange in my pocket and holding it while talking. but i havent used the phone extensively...i guess it does double standby time though so cant complain there... i havent had any problems with car charges, but some lithium ion batteries i have gotten off ebay non-oem have worked for like 2 weeks and then went dead. the funny thing about the car chargers though is that I dont think verizon sells OEM car charges. someone correct me if im wrong, but i think that they make their own but build them to manufacturers specifications. the batteries are actual lg though.... do you see anywhere on the car charger an lg product number or soemthing like that?
Actually most of the car chargers Verizon sells are generic. I once got an OEM motorola charger from them, but usually they're aftermarket. (funny thing is, the manufacturers say using non-OEM chargers voids your phone's warranty.)
*LOL* It was the Maltese Cross on my choppers logo that confused him. Then I changed it to another one but it was rather inappropriate. So I decided to join the evil icon crew and put a scary picture up........of my head *LOL*
yeah i know what you mean about the battery, it takes some getting used to, i actually think it makes the phone feel a bit tougher and not as fragile, when i got my ext. battery i used up the juice before charging it and it took forever, so i guess that's a good sign. i'm charging it 24 hrs straight to condition it properly.(3 cycles of that). the car charger has a part # lgvx6000vpc (made in china) and on the handle it has a nice rubbery handle with verizon logo on it. it doesn't feel cheap like those aftermarket ones. ps; welcome back to verizon
so back to teh best prices. You can check ebay, but more often then not thats not LG OEM and generic batters tend to suck. so i suggest: http://www.verizonwireless.com/edeals
