I read on Howard forums a while back that you can use bitpim to backup a game or app that you downloaded (monthly use) and when it expires you can put it back on and it will continue to work. I don't know what happened to Howard forums but I can't seem to find that information on any of the other wireless boards. Does anyone know how this worked? The post I read said that you buy the app under the monthly use option then back it up. Before the month expires you cancel it then use bitpim to put it back on the phone and it will work. I should have printed that post out, but never expected howardforums to dissapear. I think this worked for other apps as well that were "Get it now" apps.
Welcome to WA netizen. Knowing HF the way I do, if the thread just disappeared as you say, then that is because the subject that was being discussed was against the rules... I'm not sure but I would think that asking how to hack your phone in order to receive free service would also be against the rules over here as well... If you want Verizon's applications on your phone, pay for them just like everyone else!
Actually I wasn't able to pull up Howard forums at all.... but now they are back. Seems like they are hard to access durring the day but you can find them at night. Here's a link to the thread I was looking for by the way if anyone else is looking for the same infomation. HowardForums: Your Mobile Phone Community & Resource - Backing Up/Restoring Games How To For years I never purchased ANY apps or games from Verizon, now it's becoming somewhat of a hobby for me so I have spent over $100 on apps. I would never have bought those apps if I wasn't playing around with backing them up so I could restore them. It' s kind of like downloading music or copying movies... I never bought CD's or DVD's before I started downloading music or copying DVD's, but now I find I am buying my favorite CD's and my favorite movies and spending hundreds of dollars on them each year that I never would have spent before I began copying. I would be much richer if I would give up these hobbies. I doubt Verizon or the movie and CD companies want me to stop though as long as I'm buying more from them every year because of my hobbies. But I do understand what your saying and respect it.
