...so I guess this means I should stop development on my "Wife-Beater" app? ...but seriously, what was Apple thinking allowing an app like this on their site? .
Haha, that one might go over better than the "baby shaker", but I have to agree what was a apple thinking releasing an app like that. I meen did they think billions of Americans would take it as a joke. In the apps defense I guess it would be better to shake their phone than the infant, good idea just a terrible way to go about presenting it.
True, with so many apps theres bound to be some that slip thru the cracks ...can't let "one bad Apple" ruin the bunch
I understand that there are a few that slip through the cracks, but it seems to me the title of this one just screams unacceptable. Usually it's the one's with the mundane title that does something incredibly offensive that gets removed a few days after release... Someone's getting lazy on the job. ~*Ash*~
I could see if it were a software editing slip. But people are getting paid so ''slips'' like this don't happen. This was intentionally approved. Apps should be fun and/or useful. IMO
Well maybe Apple figured if people shake their phones instead of a real baby, that's a good thing. I used to smack a pillow with a baseball bat when I was angry. I grew out of that phase...but at least my aggression was harmless. Still, part of the app approval process would almost certainly have to involve questioning what the response to such an app would be...and clearly an app like this would never generate any good press, and should therefore never have been approved, if only from a "good business" standpoint.
I can't say I'm surprised an app like this came to be. Taste and tact are questionable these days, and I can't help but feel the creators of this app knew exactly what they were doing and what would happen when it went public... Sad really.
