My friend with Verizon Wireless gets this message when he tries to check his text messages. He has a Kyocera KX1 phone. I searched Google and nobody else seems to have this problem.

He talked with Verizon Wireless technical support, and the CSR he spoke with had never heard of that problem either.

When he gets the text message alert, he has no problem viewing the text message he received.

I had the same problem. The only I could do was replace the phone. I got lucky enough mine was still under warranty.

I have the same problem on an Alltel Kyocera KX1, except that I can't view incoming mesages either; they are rejected. A tech support person at Alltel said that they have seen this problem before and that reloading the phone's software at a store should fix it. However the person I saw at the store was unable to flash the phone.

I have since found out how to get into the service menu on the phone, but don't see how to reset the phone. Do they need to be in the service menu when they flash the phone? They said they couldn't connect to the phone. Thanks.
