Am I reading the current ATT international roaming plans correctly? One gets a bucket of data for 30 days, even if they are split between two months?

    Previously it was calendar months.

Yes I believe so. That's how it was for my last two trips.

I always pickup a local SIM card, and have voice mails from my AT&T number texted to me in the past. Last year I just kept my AT&T SIM card in my 2nd SIM slot on my Zenfone for voice and text only.

How do you set up the VM being texted?

I understand the reasons for doing that. In this case, I have the to deal with 3-4 phones for only a week. And international calls from dozens or more is a possibility — giving a new local number is not practical.

ATT roaming works the best in this situation.

There's an option for adding it on your account. It's a bit hard to find, but if you can't find it, just call AT&T
