AT&T Wireless GSM network working nationwide?

    The network should be working now. From what I hear, one of two main switches went down and not everyone was unable to recieve calls.

    It is back and working fully here in DC. MOst of my coworkers use ATT Wireless, and they are really pretty happy with it. Just found out today though, that if you were on an old national plan, you get to have the GSM America covearge area, so if you are on one of those old plans, its absolutely impossible to beat....For example

    $59.99 for 1050 anytime
    unlimited n&w starting at 7PM
    etc...

    thats a hell of a deal without any roaming charges...

    As the originator of this post, I know I posted the map of Sprint PCS. It was posted in an attempt to alleviate the tension of the network outage of AT&T Wireless. Apparently some people did not get the humor, and that is understandable. To summarize, the network is back up as of 2:22AM on 4/18/04. Any other questions about anything that's been put up, feel free to email me.
