AT&T Wireless, Cingular sued for poor service

    But we're talking two years since the buyout not two weeks ago. cingular knew good and well that they could provide the codes to unlock but just chose not to and instead preferred that their new captive customers would buy a new phone from them rather than do them the courtesy of providing unlock codes. cingular had some pretty strange "welcome" ideas for its captive subscribers and it wasn't just in regard to handset unlock codes either.
