'AT&T is now the worst carrier' - Consumer Reports - Dec. 6, 2010

The link to a CNN article about the annual Consumer Reports cell phone study that says AT&T is the worst. I'm not criticizing or supporting either side. I don't know how scientific these things are. I don't have an opinion. I do think it is an interesting read.

    All of them.
I have used 6 of the top 12 providers (by total subscribers) and the fact is that they all have their strengths and weaknesses. Experiences can vary greatly depending on hundreds of factors that are difficult to represent in a simple survey.

I think that one of the best indicators of customer satisfaction is the churn rate. After all, people vote with their feet.

    Q3 2010 churn rates:

When VZW gets the iPhone, I wonder what AT&T's churn is going to look like?

I found the Consumer Reports article interesting (and sad) - at&t was the lowest ranked provider in every single one of 23 metro areas (based on reader scores). And generally at&t's score was far below the next lowest provider - only in 3 out of the 23 areas was at&t's score lower by less than a significant variance (Boston, St. Louis, and Kansas City).

From a personal standpoint, my data experience in OKC has improved somewhat during the last six months. :) But as usual for the last several years, when I was in Dallas last weekend for the Big 12 Championship, I couldn't get a data connection to save my life until well after the game when the stadium had virtually emptied. (It seems I saw a recent blurb where they are supposed to be adding coverage to Cowboys Stadium, but I knew that was going to come later than I would need it. lol.)
