    AT&T GSM in Chicago

I am really lost on this GSM issue. Is it better than the coverage i have on my Nokia 8260? I would like to swtich over to a new plan but it is conditional on how well GSM will work in the Chicago metro area. Is it city wide? Or will I be incurring charges depending on where in the city i am and another carrier's GSM signal gets picked up.

    Thanks in advance!

GSM for the most part WILL NOT give you better coverage however it will give you clearer calls and additional services such as data and better looking phones.....the GSM network is still in its infant stage atleast for ATT...i'm not sure about the roaming agreements ATT have in that area but i would suggest you use thier trial period...and during that period i suggest going to ever corner or building you would normally goto and make sure you go inside all the building you normally would...my advice...don't sacrifice coverage for anything....if you can't make a call what good is a cell phone..
