AT&T Gives Wireless Subscribers Free Napster To Go
News by Brad Kellett on Monday March 26, 2007.

AT&T has today announced it will be offering one year of Napster To Go service free to qualifying home and mobile service customers. The free offer comes with unlimited access to over 3 million songs in the Napster catalogue, a US$180 value.

To qualify for the offer, new or existing customers must purchase either the Samsung SYNC or BlackJack handsets with a two-year service agreement plus a Music Kit/Card. AT&T residential subscribers can also take up the offer by bundling AT&T Yahoo! Internet or FastAccess DSL with existing home and mobile service, or by adding a SYNC or BlackJack with a two-year service agreement to existing AT&T home phone and internet services.

Napster To Go allows users to download music to their PC and side load to compatible devices, such as portable audio players and mobile handsets. Upon completion of the free year, the Napster To Go service will revert to the then current monthly subscription price.

I like that better than Sprint's $.99 music downloads.

I hope most of the other carriers do the same, but we probably won't ever see that happen....
