AT&T's Online Coverage Viewer has been updated as of 5/31/08 now (seems like it's always the end of the month). It appears they've added some more 3G to their current 3G serviced areas, but I haven't noticed much else, at least here in Michigan.

I want them to add 3G service up here in Port Huron! Only about 40 more miles!

Oh, it'll come there! It's already making it's way towards Lapeer. And it's moving into Chesterfield and that area, so just wait for it to climb the rest of the I-94 corridor. I can guarantee once they launch Lansing, it'll be along most of the I-69 corridor all the way from Holland/Muskegon/Grand Rapids to Port Huron!

Well you send chills up my spine when you say that!

Do you have a timeframe of the launch?

I'm not sure of the timeframe but it was in the AT&T press release for Michigan that they would be expanding 3G coverage throughout more of Metro Detroit, Flint, and Lansing. I would imagine it would be launched sometime this year. (Hopefully in the summer, especially with the iPhone 3G coming!)

I have relatives that live in the Casco - St. Clair area, so this would benefit them when it moves up that way!

It seems like a fast-growing area, that's kinda why they moved from St. Clair over that way, towards the highway. So, you'd think AT&T would definitely begin to cover these areas.

no i dont but where are you wondering abuot? there are several cities in the SouthEast that are either going to be upgraded in size of area or either turned on as a new system before the end of the year. several before the summer ends. you can find alot of info in the news room on att.com

they've added 3G in my area too.......i think its been online since the beginning of May but they just registered them now.......

we're looking at Reading down South East to most of Birdsboro.....then it gets patchy but it picks back up on Pottstown

North West it hease up towards Emmaus and Bethlehem but it stops and gets patchy up 222 a little past Blandon in Maidencreek and begins again in the Allentown area

Goes west about a half hour outside of Reading

AT&T just turned on the 3G here (Shreveport), however its not on their new coverage map update. It is under the list of cities with 3G though.

So that brings us to Alltel, Verizon, and AT&T with 3G here.
