AT&T CORP OFFICES TO THE RESCUE. Well here is part 2 of the saga I took the advice of someone from my original post and contacted the corp office of AT&T wireless After calling about 12 numbers and Washing State information finally got the phone number and GUESS WHAT. I finally got to talk to someone who actually knows whats going on. Well here it goes. I called and asked for the Office of The CEO and was put through to Executive services. I went through the whole problem. Well AT&T wireless reinstated my account without hesitation credited me with a month free and even got the direct phone number to the Women incharge of the executive services. who promised to look into this matter and call me back in about a week. So it just goes to prove that sometimes the system actually works. Thanks for everyones help. and i will keep everyone posted.
Did they begin to even guess at what the heck might have caused them to think you owed them $4000 from accounts dating back to 1992?
No they have no idea why my name came up as owing them that kind of money. I guess i will out shortly. I will keep everyone posted.
One tidbit for people with problems, we had nasty problems with Prodigy DSL... things that had been going on for months. It was entirely Prodigy's fault, and we were given the run around each time we called. After literally months of patience, politeness, and using dial-up, we finally reached a breaking point. So when I called this time I said that I needed to speak to someone who had the power to resolve the problem, or the next phone call was to the FTC. It sounds like a lame threat, but we were immediately sent over to someone, Prodigy over-nighted the materials we needed, and within 24 hours the problem was corrected (after 3 months of polite requests). Anyway once you've tried nice, try dropping the FTCs name. It worked in our case. -suspect
