AT&T Activates 3G Cell Sites in Jupiter and West Palm Beach

Company Continues to Expand South Florida's Fastest Wireless Broadband Network

Boca Raton, Florida, November 26, 2007

The nation's largest wireless carrier continues to expand its South Florida wireless broadband coverage. AT&T Inc. (NYSE:T) announced today the activation of 3G service on three cell sites in Jupiter and West Palm Beach.

Two new 3G sites in Jupiter are increasing high speed wireless coverage in the Jupiter Farms community and east of I-95 and south of Indiantown Road. A new site in West Palm Beach is increasing high speed wireless coverage in the Acreage and south to Royal Palm Beach. These new 3G cell sites are in addition to seven others that AT&T recently activated in Boynton Beach, Loxahatchee, Wellington, Jupiter and Belle Glade.

AT&T's wireless broadband network — the fastest 3G network in South Florida based on drive- test results from a leading independent wireless research firm — delivers typical download speeds ranging from 600 to 1,400 Kbps. The high speed network makes it possible for customers to use advanced, on-the-go wireless services such as Video Share, which allows users to share live video during a wireless call; CV, a video-clips-on-demand service; and AT&T Mobile Music, the most comprehensive wireless music offering in the industry.

"Our goal is to ensure that AT&T customers have the very best wireless experience possible, which includes unmatched coverage and quality of service," said Rich Guidotti, vice president and general manager for AT&T's South Florida wireless operations. "The network enhancements and new technologies, such as 3G, that we are delivering today not only provide immediate benefits for our customers but also open the door to more unique, bandwidth-intensive entertainment services for the future."

The new Palm Beach County 3G sites are part of AT&T's $133 million investment in its Florida wireless network this year. The company has invested more than $800 million in the Florida wireless network since 2005 to expand its 3G footprint and improve coverage. AT&T's South Florida 3G network was recently expanded to the Florida Keys and Martin and St. Lucie counties on the Treasure Coast. AT&T provides 3G services in more than 220 U.S. major metropolitan areas, with plans to expand to additional markets by the end of the year.

"This expansion is evidence of our ongoing commitment to investing in the state of Florida," said Marshall Criser III, president of AT&T Florida. "The investments by AT&T will have a positive impact at both the state and community levels, in addition to the benefits that our customers will receive."
